Every steel story has its foundation, and for Eastern Metal Works it was a day in 1978, when Ray Weiner Sr. bolted a Miller Big 40 welder to the bed of a Ford pickup and set out to earn a name for himself through hard work, honesty and a passion for steel. Six years later, with two welders, a saw and a Bridgeport milling machine, EMW was officially born.
As one of a select few steel companies in the state of Connecticut to have earned an AISC Standard for Steel Building Structures Certification, EMW has come a long way since that first welding truck hit the road thirty-four years ago.

Our 16,000 square foot facility allows for plenty of design and production space, and our fabricating experts use industry advanced equipment in order to streamline production and cut cost. We strive to ensure our materials are delivered on time, every time, and our experienced team of erectors are dedicated to installing any structural steel or miscellaneous metals project safely, efficiently and with regard to your unique schedule..

Eastern Metal Works Way
For over 30 years Eastern Metal Works has been providing fabricated structural and miscellaneous steel for construction projects ranging from medical facilities, utility stations, educational institutes, recreational facilities and building maintenance.
Our design team uses advanced 3D Software such as Tekla to bring your projects to life, and our facility houses over 16,000 square feet of fabrication, yard and office space to accommodate all of your production needs.

We maintain a hazard-less and safe job site by adhering to the best safety practices and OSHA by-laws. All of our field and installations crew are OSHA certified through their ten hour course.
